This is a Data Architect role that will have a large and direct impact on this transformation and will be expected to function as a thought leader and partner in this effort.
Role Description
As Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing the company's data architecture to support business objectives and better enable data-driven decision-making. You'll be charged with leading a small team of engineers and will need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and availability of their data assets.
What you'll do:
- Design scalable and efficient data architecture solutions to support business requirements
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of databases and data warehouses. Ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent the organization's data assets and work with data integration and analysis
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a small team to drive team success and professional growth
- Design and implement data integration solutions to enable seamless data flow between internal systems and external sources, maximizing the value of our data assets
- Identify optimization opportunities and resolve performance bottlenecks across the data infrastructure stack, including databases and ETL processes
Qualifications
- Proven record of leadership in data architecture and database management, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts, with extensive experience in relational and NoSQL databases
- Strong experience within Database Administration
- Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Excellent understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Solid grasp of data integration techniques and tools, including ETL processes, APIs, and data pipelines
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, Ph.D.) preferred
