The person in this role will be a naturally curious problem solver that is expected to lead analysis and modeling efforts for the team. This includes problem decomposition and leading the effort through the various stages of extracting data from various platforms (SQL and other database/Big Data platforms), analyzing the data using exploratory data analysis and other statistical or modeling approaches and then communicating findings to both technical and non-technical teams. In many cases, data sources must be identified, accessed, organized, or even created and deployed to complete the analysis.

Core Responsibilities:
- Leads and participates in projects related to understanding and improving the business and financial performance of the company.
- Ability to interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction.
- Translate requests from the various analysis and business teams into quantitative models.
- Partner with internal and external teams to identify and define datasets needed to support analysis.
- Use SQL, spreadsheet or other statistical and computational languages (R, Python) to perform computations and data extracts from large databases
- Visualize data using Tableau, Excel or similar tools and conduct detailed correlation and regression analyses for communications network-related and cable industry product data
- Conduct analysis on complex data to uncover nuances and inconsistencies, advising on conflicts and inappropriate data usage
- Package data analysis results and trends into concise messaging in a summarized and graphical form
- Summarize the results of the analysis and develop recommendations for technical and non-technical audience.
- Provide monthly/quarterly benchmarks
- Prepare monthly, weekly, daily and ad-hoc reports, including key metrics reports, performance reports, and dashboards
- Assist with automation of all current reporting for future increase in both accuracy and efficiency
- Help to identify financial and operational opportunities
- Anticipate needs, operate with a sense of urgency, and have the ability to adapt to change quickly
- Generate input for Budgeting/Forecasting models and planning processes

Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, operations research or related field; MBA or other graduate degree preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of experience at a technology, financial, research or analysis organization working with large data-sets and multivariate analysis.
- Demonstrated quantitative aptitude including forecasting, financial modeling and a well-developed analytical skill set.
- Courses in advanced mathematics, computer programming, and statistics.
- Proven ability to quickly locate and analyze extremely large volumes of data and desire to work with Big Data sets
- Proficient with SQL, some programming skills in C/C++, Python, R, Java, Matlab, or other
- Interest in algorithmic programming, state machines, use of heuristic models for algorithm development and simulations
- Ability to synthesize complex data from numerous sources into user-friendly visual presentations for use by Operations, product management and Executive teams.
- Significant experience particularly in desktop data analysis tools including Excel and Tableau (or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in gathering complex reporting requirements, designing and implementing insightful Visualization Solutions (Reports, Dashboards, Metrics, KPI's)
- Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on vague and quickly changing requirements
- Must be a team-player and be able to work closely with technical teams and business users
- Ability to communicate effectively with Sr. Managers, Directors, VP's across the entire business enterprise.
- Capable of building strong relationships with leaders across enterprise for both sources of data and consumers.
- Expert in MS Office.
