                                                 SSIS Developer (Intermediate)
Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm and our Staffing practice is looking for a SSIS Developer with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. In order to be successful in this role you will need to well versed in Excel, Power BI, SSIS, and SQL. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced and high performing team. 
Client: Big Five Bank 
Contract: You will start Mid to Late October 2024 for a 6 months contract. Extension is likely based on performance.
Working Location: Remote out of Greater Toronto Area.
Working Hours: Business hours, 37.5hrs/week, Monday-Friday
Dress Code: Business Casual
Ultimately, you will help automate our business intelligence/data processes to help us make better decisions.
Responsibilities

• Translate business needs to technical specifications
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems/data analysis
  • Automate as there is currently significant manual process
  • Help transition manual processes from Excel to SSIS/Power BI
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
• Develop and update technical documentation

Requirements

• 4+ years proven experience as an SSIS/Power BI Developer
• Significant professional experience ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework – SSIS
• Hands on professional experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Expert level of SQL queries and Excel (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups, Macros)
• Experience migrating data from Excel to SQL Server using SSIS
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Data and Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics
