Data Analyst - Digital Analytics & Platforms - Publishers Clearing House

Publishers Clearing House (PCH), with offices in New York City and Jericho, is looking for an Analyst – Digital Analytics & Platforms who is passionate about providing strategic and analytic insights to drive customer engagement, monetization, and business growth through utilization of mobile and web analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital analytics for both websites and apps with proven ability transfer data into actionable insights to inform decisions around marketing, customer engagement/experience, and monetization. Key areas of responsibility include insights, reporting, education, data validation and platform management.

As a member of the Analytics Team, you will partner with marketing, product, and IT to influence business strategy through web/app analytics, providing support in platform utilization and adoption. You will serve as the subject matter expert for customer data and analytics platforms. The primary measure of success will be the ability to provide actionable recommendations from business questions delivered from analytics platforms. You will work with analytics counterparts across data-science, business-intelligence, and insights to conceptualize and translate questions to actions and outcomes.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Be the Subject Matter Expert, both technically and functionally, on web analytics platforms performing complex and challenging analytics efforts. Query, manipulate and transform data from multiple sources to produce a comprehensive view of user behavior within web and app properties to answer business questions.
• Support the maintenance and development of the web analytics platforms, work with Technology team to maintain data collection and integrity, identify gaps in the data capture strategy; and provide data tracking and implementation requirements for new technical or tagging enhancements.
• Partner across analytic functions, business stakeholders, and vendors to leverage various data sources and deliver analysis and reporting solutions that provide deep insights into customer behavior across our website/apps.
• Stay current on the latest tools, strategies, and trends in the PCH analytics ecosystem.
• Participate in industry forums and leverage vendor relationships to bring leading industry knowledge and best practices in web and app analytics to PCH.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative field; Finance, Analytics, Statistics, Economics or related field
• 4+ year relevant experience
• Expert SQL knowledge and experience, authoring complex queries working with variety of data platforms
• Expertise and experience in web/app analytics tools around implementation, tag management and business application: Google Analytics, Adobe, Mixpanel
• Applied knowledge of cloud and big data platform and tools (e.g., GCP, big-query, Hadoop, Python)
• Knowledge of a reporting / BI tool such as: tableau, Looker Studio
• Applied knowledge and experience working closely with IT & Dev teams
• Knowledge of testing-experimentation setup (A/B) and statistical techniques for measuring effectiveness of marketing and customer experience optimization
• Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong Communication and project management skills
• Self starter who can manage multiple priorities with limited supervision

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $110,000 per year. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified.
