Job Description:
ISA is seeking data analysts to support our consulting and advisory services to Department of Defense (DoD) customers. Our projects require dynamic individuals who possess skills in data sciences, information technology (IT), strategic thinking, solutions development, business process improvement, policy research, and presentation design.

Responsibilities:
The candidate shall have experience and demonstrated competency in analytical roles. The candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and able to easily interact with senior-level directors and/or agency heads. Our Data Analysts will formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. ISA team members may collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, service, or products, as well as develop and supply optimal time, financial management, or logistics analysis for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
The following skills are required:
- Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative in solutions and product development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to large audiences of varying seniority and experience levels in the topic area
- All-source analytical competencies and familiarity with data sciences and methodologies
- Wide-ranging experience with data and analytics presentation and visualization development
- Ability to produce data visualizations using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or equivalent.
- Real-world, program/project-applied data analytics experience.
- Some familiarity with DoD IT capabilities and/or architectures
Skills strongly desired:
- Ability to code in Python/JAVA/R or similar language
- Experience with developing solutions in Regex, SQL, or other similar tools
- Experience with developing solutions in ServiceNow, Apptio or other Technology Business Management applications
- Experience with MS Project
- Familiar with DoD Financial Management data manipulation and analysis (Planning, Programming, Budget, & Execution)
Duties:
- Performing all-source research and data analysis to identify business, mission or operational trends and relevant issues.
- Lead data method (observational, experimental, simulation, or derived) capture planning and implementation based on project requirements.
- Briefing corporate and client stakeholders on all aspects of assigned project data services.
- Drafting program requirements based on research data.
- Drafting and revising procedural documents
- Documenting program changes
- Evaluating program and operational effectiveness
- Collaborating with Program Managers to develop and implement new programs.
- Tracking and documenting performance metrics across the organization
- Presenting recommendations to management and other stakeholders
- Create engaging presentations for corporate and client stakeholders.
- Lead internal whiteboard solutions sessions and related engagements with action officer-level customers and stakeholders.
- Assist Program leadership with senior-leader briefings through provision of subject matter expertise.
- Track program/project status and schedules
Supervisory Responsibilities:
As necessary commensurate to position and ability. This position may require provision of 'Task Lead'-level leadership on ISA projects. Individual Task Leads will be expected to supervise, coordinate, and consolidate the inputs and efforts of Junior Analysts and Subject Matter Experts.
Clearance Required:
Applicants must have at least an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a clearance at the TS/SCI level. Preference will be given to those who have an active TS/SCI clearance. Applicants must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hiring. All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.
Experience Required:
Preferred 3-10 years of experience in ANY of the following: defense contracting, federal civilian employment, military service (to include National Guard and Reserve), or commercial industry
Education:
Requires bachelor's degree in ANY of the following: Date Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, Data Management, Political Science, Business Administration, Communications, Government, or Military History.

Salary at ISA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The salary range for this position starts at $60,000 and increases commensurate with years of experience, education, certifications, etc. and is just one component of ISA's total compensation package for employees.
Certification:
Data analyst and Cyber certifications desirable but not required.
