Data Clerk 

Interstate Waste Services, Inc., headquartered in Teaneck, NJ, is one of the largest and fastest growing private solid waste and recycling companies in the country.  We service customers in Southern New York State and throughout New Jersey, and in New York City through our subsidiary Action Environmental Services.

You have strong critical thinking and analytical skills.  Your written and verbal communication skills allow you to easily and effectively deliver information in a precise, direct and concise manner.  You are able to shift gears between projects and can handle changes in existing processes.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties:

• Enter invoices into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy.

• Ensure that data is entered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

• Sorting and organizing mail for data entry.

Skills/Attention to Detail, thoroughness, organization, teamwork, pro-active, vendor relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills.

• Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Related accounting software programs.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or Associates Degree required .

 

Qualifications:

Skills/Experience Requirements
· 1+ years of professional business experience (including college internships)
· Strong technical/computer skills, including MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong customer focus; ability to provide superior customer service to internal and external
customers
· Ability to work comfortably and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative environment
· Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and
meet all deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, to meet business and workgroup needs
· Fluency in English required; bilingual Spanish or Mandarin is a plus
· Strict attention to detail and data accuracy

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range Minimum:USD $22.50/Hr.
