SUMMARY:
The Diary Equipment Operations Engineer (Maintenance Engineer) will work to the best of their ability to create a positive and effective environment for themselves, their customers, and team members. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for handling maintenance, repairs, or upgrades to the equipment, utilities, and systems. The Maintenance Engineer will carry out routine and regular inspections to identify possible failures, carry out preventive maintenance, conduct quality checks, schedule repairs, maintain an inventory of parts, and provide guidance in the event that new equipment needs to be purchased or repairs need to be carried out.
We expect that the Maintenance Engineer will be versatile and well-versed in mechanical and electrical systems and have problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
Skills and Abilities:
Working Conditions: Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours. However, we are in an agriculture service business and working times will be adjusted to meet customer need and employee needs.

Skills and Abilities:
- Apply knowledge of engineering science and technology to diagnosis, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems, such as milk equipment, wash systems, manure equipment, vacuum systems, Video on Demand (VOD), electrical, robotics, and refrigeration, as well as other mechanically functioning equipment.
- Carry out a routine inspection of equipment and systems; investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, notify management and recommend remedial actions.
- Communicate daily with managers, supervisors, and other operations staff regarding maintenance issues and technical engineering support.
- Repair structures and equipment types and engage specialists as and when necessary and contract labor for that purpose.
- Provide technical information and perform other engineering tasks, as necessary, to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems.
- Suggest ways and means to improve efficiency, performance, and energy consumption.

Requirements:
- Degree and professional license (cedula professional)
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Experience with refrigeration and cooling equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive hand motions, bending, grasping, and movement are involved in overall equipment repair.
- Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
