Cytotechnologist - Tampa, FL - Relocation Assistance + Sign-on Bonus
Job Description
Cytotechnologist opportunity for a top 10 nationally ranked hospital in in the United States, and the #1 ranked cancer hospital in Florida. The role is located on-site in Tampa , FL and relocation assistance is available! If agree to stay on board for 3 years, there is an additional 5 figure sign-on bonus!
Responsibilities
+ Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for possible malignant or related abnormal conditions.
+ Screen all liquid-based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides.
+ Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies.
+ Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines.
+ Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results.
+ Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure.
+ Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner.
+ Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed.
+ Comply with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology or related life science from an accredited college/university.
+ Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program.
+ ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification.
+ Florida state Cytology licensure - Client will assist with transition
+ Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test.
+ Demonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques.
+ Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
+ Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience working in Cytology is preferred.
+ ThinPrep certification is a plus.
+ Automated and non-automated testing experience is preferred.
Work Environment
100% onsite. 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm with a very flexible schedule. Can start earlier or later as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $95680.00
