Cytotechnologist - Texas Health Care PLLC

Overview of the Role:

• Responsible for screening gynecologic cytology slides as needed, up to a predetermined limit

• Responsible for issuing reports for slides that are negative for intraepithelial lesions and for organisms on the screened slides

• Responsible for re-screening selected cases for quality control

• Slide preparation, staining, and imaging, as needed

• Oversees and reviews completion of quality control results, and takes remedial action when indicated.

• Works under the direction of the Lead Cytotechnologist.

• Schedule is flexible; Full or Part-time positions are available

Education and Experience:

• College degree in related sciences, plus one year of dedicated cytology training in an accredited school of cytotechnology. Must be registered as a cytotechnologist with ASCP.

• At least two years of experience as a certified cytotechnologist preferred
