Join the Cytogenetics Laboratory at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center as a full-time Tissue Culture Cytogenetic Technical Specialist. This role involves working Monday-Friday with rotating weekends/holidays, focusing on pioneering chromosomal and genomic technologies for diagnosing inherited diseases and cancer.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee technical operations of the Tissue Culture Section.
• Perform complex diagnostic procedures including G-band, FISH, and Microarray testing.
• Direct workflow and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Facilitate onboarding and training of new staff.
• Coordinate lab preparation for inspections and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science field.
• 3+ years of Cytogenetics experience; 5 years preferred.
• Eligible for ASCP Cytogenetics certification within one year of hire.
