Cybersecurity Technical Communicator
The Cybersecurity Technical Communicator will support the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). They will combine experience with cybersecurity and technical writing to produce written cybersecurity reports to technical, non-technical, legal, executive and board level audiences.

Summary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00

Cybersecurity Technical Communicator
The Cybersecurity Technical Communicator will support the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). They will combine experience with cybersecurity and technical writing to produce written cybersecurity reports to technical, non-technical, legal, executive and board level audiences.
What You Will Do:
- Producing clear and concise communications that summarize incident response.
- Partner closely with CSIRT to ensure incident data is accurately captured and high-quality documentation is maintained.
- Produce incident reports for a wide group of technical and non-technical audiences such as legal, executive, board level and employees.
- Create and nurture relationships across the incident response, infrastructure, application, and legal teams.
- Develop and manage weekly and quarterly reports detailing the critical efforts of the CSIRT.
- Support the CSIRT Readiness team in developing, delivering and documenting incident response tabletop exercises.
- Excellent grammar, editing and writing skills with strong diligence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to a wide range of audiences.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity software and tools.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter.
- Familiarity with security operations and incident response concepts.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional tools.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
- Experience in video production and editing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Communications, or related field.
- Organizational change management experience.
- Prior experience in a cybersecurity role.

- The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX or Nashville, TN
- RELOCATION IS NOT AVAILABLE.

- Must be able to work at least 3 days onsite.

- Cites examples of cyber-attacks and fraud incidents and lessons learned.
- Reviews common network attacks, attack methods and the defenses used.
- Lists common tools and technologies for monitoring network intrusions.
- Explains the use of forensics in addressing cybercrime.

- Collects documentation and information on standards and their usage.
- Describes and follows all policies, standards, and procedures.
- Describes expected benefits of effective organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.

- Executes IT security policies and standards within a specific region in organization.
