Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for SOF Digital Applications (PEO-SDA). PEO-SDA’s vision is to provide USSOCOM a “one-stop shop” for SOF software-intensive digital applications. SDA’s sole purpose is to ensure SOF Warfighters receive point-of-need knowledge innovation and the software support to remain the premier information dominance force anywhere, anytime.
This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill, AFB, FL.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the PM Digital Ecosystem (DE) Senior Cybersecurity Engineer.
- Provide PM DE with enterprise Program Protection Status reports and recommendations for support activities to the PMs.
- Assist PM DE by providing accurate, current, and comprehensive cybersecurity technical assistance.
- Review PPPs and provide technical insight on any necessary additions or improvements.
- Provide security training materials and organize training sessions.
- Participate in LBSAs, IPTs, working groups, vulnerability assessments, intrusion assessments, and cybersecurity inspections.
- Conduct market research with cybersecurity industry and DoD user community to foster development, evaluation, and deployment of cybersecurity solutions.
- Support the evaluation of cybersecurity during T&E events, including independent threat representative penetration and exploitation testing and evaluation.
- Serve as the PM DE Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Engineering Management, or Systems Security Engineering
Years of Experience: 10 years’ experience in cybersecurity engineering
Additional Experience:
- Possess 3+ years’ experience developing and working with DoD Acquisition PPPs that required Critical Program Information Analysis, Criticality Analysis, Trusted Systems and Networks Analysis, Risk Management Framework, Anti-Tamper Plan, Cybersecurity Strategy and Security Classification Guide
- Possess a thorough understanding of DoD PPP policy, processes, and procedures
- Possess a thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols for Software Assurance, Hardware Assurance, Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, and Trusted Systems and Networks
- Possess familiarity with the DoD Acquisition Management Process
- Possess familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Specialized cybersecurity training and certifications (e.g., CISSP)
Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Engineering Management, or Systems Security Engineering
Additional Experience:
- Specific experience with SOF AT&L acquisition cybersecurity processes and USSOCOM-related PPPs is highly desired
