Title: Security Operations Manager
Location: Dallas, TX *(hybrid 2 days on site per week) Relocation Assistance available
Compensation: 150 to 170k with a 10% bonus
Type: Direct
Summary:
The Security Operations Manager will develop, lead, and grow a team of security analysts. This individual will be responsible for designing and driving educational initiatives, operational metrics, and key performance indicators while maintaining high quality security operations capabilities. As a technical lead, the qualified candidate will be able to mentor and coach individuals in the analytics process. This person will have client facing responsibilities and must be able to clearly articulate complex topics to both the technical and non-technical audience.

Experience Necessary:
- 6+ Years working in the security analytics space.
- 3+ years working in a client facing MSSP role.
- 2+ years in security operations hands on leadership (leadership by example
- Fundamental understanding of enterprise security maturity and how the SOC informs and enables it.
- Ability to present to customers and executives.
- Ability to present to non-technical audiences by translating technical subject matter into actionable business communication.
- Security operations metric driven leader
- Ability to develop and manage policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage operational team which operates 24/7 Year around.
- Experience Managing, Training, and Mentoring a 24/7 team of 10+
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Diverse experience using and improving security analytic platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of security device logging and monitoring.
- Demonstrated understanding of security detection purpose and design.
- Demonstrated understanding of network architecture and how it relates to security.
- Demonstrated understanding of data structuring related to security analytics.
- Demonstrated experience with programming languages (Python, Perl, etc).
- Demonstrated experience with structured data formats (JSON, syslog, etc).
- Understanding of security maturity frameworks (NIST, CIS18, etc).
- Understanding of threat modeling and attack frameworks (MITRE, OWASP, Cyber Kill Chain, etc).
- Experience working with ticketing system integrations (ServiceNOW, etc).
- Passionate about cybersecurity.
- GIAC and other technical certifications will be looked on favorably.
