The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for having a deep understanding of cyber security practices and possess exceptional communication skills. This role's primary objective is to influence and implement cyber security strategies across the endpoints, applications, data, and networks to manage risk throughout the enterprise. Create visibility of threats, close security gaps, and manage risk to maintain Millennium's industry-leading cyber security posture through ownership of Millennium's Cyber Security Frameworks.
Responsibilities
• Protect Millennium Health's assets against potential threats from cyberspace adversaries.
• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of Millennium Heath's data, systems, and networks.
• Develop and implement Security Programs and implement protections such as Vulnerability Scanning, Identity, Cloud, and Application security to strengthen security posture.
• Collaborate across organizations to incorporate security into the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure, systems, and applications to reduce the attack surface.
• Lead enterprise security threat defenses to increase security protections.
• Implement security protections across cloud and on-prem environments to reduce the attack surface and manage risks from internal and external emerging threats.
• Assist with developing security to reduce human risk by increasing security knowledge, and practices, and influencing behavior changes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance, to team members to increase security practices across the organization.
• Ensuring that data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls and protections.
• Daily engineering and administrative tasks, metrics, and communication with the relevant departments across the organization.
• Support risk assessment and security audit mitigation and remediation strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry associations to stay abreast of emerging trends and collaborate on cybersecurity initiatives.
• Support regulatory inquiries, investigations, security incidents, and breach incidents as needed.
• Assist with security metrics for Cybersecurity Program visibility, effectiveness, and maturity.
• Support incident response and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of cyber security incidents and ensure timely recovery.
• Stay current with emerging threats, industry best practices, and technological advancements in cyber security, and guide the organization on adopting relevant solutions and practices.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, cyber security, or comparable experience with certifications.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in cyber security.
• Hands-on work experience with security solutions, such as application security, vulnerability scanners, endpoint security, SIEM, etc.
•
Hands-on work experience building incident detection, and incident response automation that aligns with MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with the following cyber security frameworks - HITRUST, NIST, PCI-DSS, ISO-27001.
• Demonstrated effective implementation of Cyber Security Programs and enterprise security solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, and/or Power Shell.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cyber security trends and hacking techniques
• Knowledgeable of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, and security standards.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive Cyber Security Programs.
• In-depth understanding of cyber security technologies, risk management methodologies, and incident response best practices.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to assess complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mind and a detailed understanding of cyber security methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
