Additional approved locations include: Atlanta, GA, Arlington, VA, Bellevue, WA, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA.Grant Thornton’s Privacy and Data Protection team helps our clients transform and mature their privacy program through assessment, automation, process re-engineering, and managed services. As a Manager within our Privacy & Data Protection practice, you will get the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients' business needs across a variety of domains including privacy strategy, governance, automation, risk, and compliance management – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Risk team and Cyber team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include:Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentialityAbility to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environmentApply current knowledge of privacy and data protection trends to issues and other opportunities for improvementLead the execution of assigned client engagements from start to finish, which includes the engagement planning, directing, and completion of assessments, privacy program implementations, privacy technology implementations, and managed services engagements on time and on-budgetWork with the client to plan an engagement strategy, define objectives, and address privacy-related controls risks, and issuesProactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for improvementsWork closely with partners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issuesCollaborate with team members at all levels in the development and marketing of the privacy and data protection solution offeringLead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clientsOther duties as assignedYou have the following technical skills and qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Juris Doctorate, or a related field is required, Masters preferredMinimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level One or more of the following certifications required: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, or other related certifications Deep understanding of global privacy and data protection regulations and frameworks, such as the GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, HIPAA, GLBA, NIST, ISO, and moreExperience working with leading privacy regulations to perform privacy assessments and support privacy program implementationsExperience implementing and sustaining tools such as OneTrust, Securiti.ai, WireWheel, and BigID across use cases such as data mapping, data discovery, privacy impact assessments, consent/preference management, cookie compliance, data subject rights, and moreExperience preparing reports and other deliverables that contain strategy, project, or technical analysis and findings in connection with consulting engagements and communicating those results to the team and clientExperience in project management and the ability to clearly communicate data protection and privacy issues verbally on both a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staffExceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationshipsCan travel as neededThe base salary range for this position in Chicago, IL only is between $187,500 and $312,500.The base salary range for this position in the firm's New York, NY Los Angeles, CA and Bellevue, WA offices is between $202,500 and $337,500.The base salary range for this position in the firm's San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices is between $215,600 and $359,400.#LI-LG1At Grant Thornton, we believe in making business more personal and building trust into every result – for our clients and you.
