Position Summary
RSekure is seeking a skilled Cyber Data Analyst with mid to senior-level experience in the Chantilly, VA area to play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting data to support our cutting-edge cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, expertise in utilizing Tableau for data visualization, and proficiency in extracting insights from relational databases. They should possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, data management, and statistical analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze cybersecurity data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau to visualize complex data sets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Conduct data mining and analysis to detect security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends to enhance data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Travel not required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and analysis.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat/vulnerability detection and incident response (Nmap, Rapid7 Nexpose, etc.).
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity information technology, security applications, and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, web and email protocols)
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on cybersecurity.
Certifications, Licenses
- CompTIA (Sec+, Net+, etc.) or other relevant cyber certifications are a bonus.
Special Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
Work Environment
Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
