As a Permanent Cyber Claims Attorney, you will be a key player in our dynamic, fast-paced team. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cyber claim litigation, including the review, evaluation, and resolution of complex claims.
- Collaborate with our claims team to analyze liability, damages, and coverage issues.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the resolution of cyber claims.
- Provide expert legal advice to our claims team, underwriters, and other stakeholders on complex cyber-related legal issues.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and their legal representatives.
- Collaborate with external counsel and manage their performance to ensure the effective resolution of claims.
- Keep abreast of developments in cyber law and insurance law and provide training to our claims team and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of our cyber claims handling policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Claims Attorney, with a focus on cyber claims handling.
- Proven experience in insurance claims, litigated claims, liability analysis, and claims resolution.
- In-depth knowledge of the legal, technical, and regulatory issues relating to cyber risk.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex claims simultaneously and to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
- Passion for technology and a keen interest in the cyber insurance industry.
