What We're Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced engineer to contribute to the design, integration, and development of Body Electronics for next-gen vehicles. In this role, you will be responsible for the vehicle application of electronic systems such as Body ECU, AC ECU, and related components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure these systems meet customer needs, performance targets, cost requirements, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Application of Body Electronics: Lead the integration and application of Body Electronics systems (including Body ECU, AC ECU, etc.) into the vehicle architecture.
- Design and Planning: Oversee the structure and design of Body Electronics systems, ensuring they meet target specifications, packaging constraints, and regulatory compliance, while balancing performance, cost, and customer needs.
- Supplier Coordination: Provide design specifications to suppliers, manage schedules, and ensure performance and quality meet project requirements.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and manage part lists, engineering change instructions, wiring specifications, and other key documentation. Maintain clear and accurate internal and external communication.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of vehicle electronics systems into production models.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or a related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Design Engineer, ideally with a focus on vehicle electronics development.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in addressing complex engineering challenges and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external suppliers.
- Overtime Availability: Flexibility to work up to 30% overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
What You May Bring:
- Vehicle Electronics Development Experience: Experience in the development and integration of electronics systems for vehicles, including validation of electrical components and systems.
- CATIA Experience: Familiarity with CATIA or similar CAD tools for modeling, designing, and integrating electronic systems into the vehicle structure.
