"To meet the needs of the customer by having knowledge of the surgical procedure, preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. Anticipates the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments, and assist the surgical team in all procedures. The surgical technician is responsible for his/her case clean up, for positioning patients, moving patients and room turnovers. * Adheres to the established organizational confidentiality guidelines * Ensures our customers right to privacy and modesty by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment * Never engages in careless or indiscreet comments which may do irreversible damage to patients, physicians, staff and/or the organization * Obtains confidential information only when it is required for the performance of the job * Pulls supplies/equipment/suture for assigned case and opens surgical rooms. * Knows all basic set-ups assigned to scrub. * Conducts counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps with RN according to department standard."
High School diploma or equivalency - Required
NBSTSA Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist - Required
" 2 years of experience in an operating room setting required
" ACLS & BLS certification required
" Good communication skills
