Cutter Stacker - PROLEC-GE WAUKESHA

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY The cutter stacker role is the first part
of our manufacturing process. This role is responsible for building the
very center of our cores. This role includes two parts, the cutting and
the stacking. The cutter stacker is responsible for the cutting of
electrical steel as well as the stacking of the steel to manufacture our
cores. This position operates core steel shearing and cutting equipment.
In this role, an employee would set up and stack single and three phase
cores. All operators rotate jobs to maintain skill level and reduce
ergonomic stress on a regular basis. Employees in this role must train,
develop skills, and demonstrate proficiency in the following five (5)
work center areas: Booster Stacking/Yoke Band/Strip Making; Core Shear
Machine; Assist Operator; Main Stacking Top; Main Stacking
Bottom.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receives assignments and
instructions from supervisor - verbal and written. Follows drawings,
Bill of Materials, and other established manufacturing procedures.
Coordinate and communicate with supervision and team leads. Responsible
for core cutting machine setups. Learn core cutting machine operations
to cut stock material to length. Marks and sorts steel into sequential
order of usage. Uses cranes to load and unload stock coils of steel to
de-reeler. Tracks partially used coils of steel, records key information
for raw and cut steel, and uses SAP to track appropriate data Use PC to
record data for process attributes requiring Statistical Process Control
(SPC) Moves pallets of finished material to specified area. Performs
minor repairs and machine maintenance and clean up. Complete 5S training
and keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and orderly Set up core
stacking table and stacking table gauges. Utilize stacking process which
includes bottom yoke, center, right, and left limbs. Stacks laminations
in predetermined configuration. Assemble clamping structures once
stacking is complete Epoxy and band core limbs complete. Gauges and
measures core at intervals to ensure correctness of stacking. Fabricate
yoke strap bands and miscellaneous shear items. May work in Medium
Power, Large Power or Extra High Voltage product lines. Stack and
assemble booster cores (smaller cores) and main cores for all product
lines (Medium Power, Large Power, Extra High Voltage) Operation of Georg
(Core Shear machine) Stack shunt steel for both the top and bottom of
