About the Job
The primary mission of the Customer Supply Chain Lead is to d evelop and implement supply chain strategies that ensure consistent execution of the global supply chain, logistics, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory strategies across the global supply chain across multiple channels. Oversee and manage local and distribution sales orders and forecast by further developing strong working relationships, using the knowledge of the global demand and capacity allocation.

- Assure accurate order detail and pricing, timely order confirmations, provide status updates to the customer. Prepare correspondence and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop knowledge of customers' buying patterns and work with customers to understand the cause when there are variances to the trend; share this insight with the business to better plan resources and improve service.
- Represent the voice of the customer within the business, and continuously seek opportunities to improve the service.
- Collaborate with account managers on customer activities, sharing insight gained through service.
- Interact, build, and maintain effective relationships with internal and external teams; including but not limited to customers, demand, planning, product managers, local and distribution manufacturing plants, and other leads as needed.
- Understand allocation methods based on budget, forecast and open orders, and maintain that data in IBP accordingly.
- Oversee flow of product from manufacturing to customer delivery, ensuring clear communication on gaps, delays, and alternate planning strategies.
- Support internal/external customers with business reports, presentations, and insights, to help generate actionable business solutions.
- Create, measure, and analyze key supply chain metrics while developing corrective actions to improve performance.
- Maintain customer master data, customer master specification record (CMSR), and pricing to support service levels.
- For local production, work closely with the Planning and Warehouse teams to meet customer requirements, for distribution orders, work closely with the Logistics Manager when necessary, to provide information to the customer.
- Visit selected customers to review demand, logistics and service levels.
- Work with Accounts Receivable, Credit management and Sales to resolve payment issues.
- Work with Quality and Sales to follow-up on return authorizations and manage replacement orders according to the agreed upon terms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance management.
- Experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills to coach, develop, and influence various teams.
- Works effectively with others, participating fully to achieve high performance of objectives.
