Type of Position: Part-time Regular, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs,
25 hours per week
Pay Range: $15.95-$20.31 and determined based on relevant years of
work experience.
Benefits Category: Part-time Benefits
Position Summary: Aid and support all aspects of Bookstore
operations and maintain positive customer service to Bookstore staff,
college faculty and staff members, students, and local patrons. Provide
general Bookstore information and sales support, maintain the sales
floor, handle customer inquiries and complaints, and operate a cash
register.
Required Qualifications:
- Mid-level support role.
- Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
- Requires a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of related
experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist customers with purchases and perform cashiering duties.
- Stock shelves and create barcodes/shelf tags for merchandise.
- Answer general customer questions and de-escalate and resolve any
complaints.
- Assist other Bookstore departments with special projects related to
ordering, price checks, and inventory.
- Onboard and train new Bookstore clerks on Bookstore procedures.
- Process returns, exchanges, inner-account transfers, and technology
purchase transactions.
