About the Job
The Customer Service Specialist resolves delinquency on manufactured home loans by contacting members to negotiate payment arrangements, process payments, and perform collection duties in line with department policies. They assist members in curing defaults by assessing needs, educating on options, and recommending solutions to help retain their homes or find dignified alternatives.
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm
Pay: $21/hr
Job Duties:
- Efficiently manage time to address delinquent accounts promptly and initiate early intervention.
- Take necessary steps to establish contact with borrowers and resolve delinquent accounts effectively.
- Ensure all collection activities and notices are accurate, compliant with company policies, and adhere to applicable state and federal laws.
- Utilize field visit vendors efficiently to maintain cost control.
- Review extension requests, due date changes, and loss mitigation assistance applications promptly, providing decision recommendations to the Member Solutions Manager.
- Escalate credit disputes or complaints to the Member Solutions Manager and assist in preparing responses.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Manufactured housing collections and/or credit experience
Skills & Knowledge:
- Asset disposal experience a plus
- Working knowledge of credit, collection, and bankruptcy laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sales-oriented negotiating and decision-making skills
- PC skills include word processing and spreadsheet applications
