Full Job Description:
Overall Responsibility: This is a position to provide detailed administrative support work relating to the sales and purchasing department functions, policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required. Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge of:
- Commonly used business software for personal computers.
- Microsoft Office.
Ability to:
- Prioritize, schedule, and undertake concurrent work assignments in a fluid and changing environment without frustration.
- Establish and maintain harmonious and cooperative relationships with supervisors, coworkers, suppliers, and customer base.
- Exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibility.
- Communicate on a one-to-one basis.
- Communicate on the phone with tact and etiquette.
- Perform sedentary work, defined as lifting 30 pounds’ maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as aircraft components, office supplies and equipment.
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions. Read, update, evaluate and maintain various records and files. Access, operate and maintain various software applications.
- Clearly communicate information both orally and in writing.
- Operate basic office equipment.
- Perform accurate data entry to include part numbers and nomenclatures.
Physical Requirements:
- Possess the level of manual dexterity sufficient to operate terminal keyboard, telephones, fax/copy machines and general office supplies.
- Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods. Frequently move about the building and climb stairs.
- Ability to move, handle, or lift moderately heavy objects such as computer equipment.
- Ability to work in an unairconditioned hangar.
Education and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
