The Organization:
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Customer Services Representative:
The Customer Service Representative provides and applies an in-depth working knowledge of products and services to help customers solve their inquires, problems, pay bills, purchase memberships, reserve rooms or facilities, request permits, or report sewer leaks. The Customer Service Representative provides prompt and professional service in a fast paced work environment.
Job Duties:
- Accepts utility bill payments, recreation membership, league and programs payments issuing receipts and enter data in the appropriate billing/ management software.
- Receives a high call volume requesting information or to forward to appropriate staff or department.
- Greets customers and guests and enrolls them for leagues, programs, memberships, or registers for utility services.
- Accurately performs data entry and prepares necessary reports.
- Handles questions and matters of a more technical nature and responds to customer complaints, investigations and customer problem resolution.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal savvy when dealing with internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of Customer Service experience
- Excellent computer skills required, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire:
- American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
Schedule:
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and alternating Saturdays, 9 am to 3 pm.
