Overview
Future Technologies is seeking a Customer Service Rep to join our winning team. FTI is a proven, employee-focused provider of mission-critical information systems and technical support services to government and private sector organizations worldwide. We support a wide range of professional, information technology (IT), and intelligence services, which includes acquisition, procurement, financial, international, and foreign military sales support services for the Department of Defense. Our professional team combines the technical depth, breadth and experience of a large firm with the agility, efficiency and personal service that only a smaller firm can offer.
Location: Norfolk, VA
Clearance: Must have a secret clearance
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate with customers to understand their logistics requirements and services via telephone, email, and occasionally in person
- Use sound judgment and strong communication skills responding to customer inquiries to ensure issues are resolved
- Resolve challenging customer account issues while maintaining a positive, professional attitude and following set policies and procedures guidelines and regulations
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to prioritize, coordinate and apply resources as needed
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Initiates phone calls and emails to other departments or commands when additional assistance is required.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Customer service skills, the ability to interpret customer inquiries, and able to deal with customers tactfully and diplomatically
- Experience working with Microsoft office products
- Must be able to read and write English fluently and speak clearly due to handing customer inquiries by phone

Must be able to pass a background check.
