About the Job
- Maintain superior customer service standards for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and End Users.
- Review requests for quotes, create quotes, and enter customer orders.
- Evaluate and resolve customer issues related to product, shipping, warranty, or payment.
- Schedule orders to meet customer requirements while managing internal requirements through planning detail review, current demand evaluation, and intimate business process and product knowledge.
- Make informed decisions on course of action for short lead time orders, expedited orders & special product requests.
- Internally, manage the customer relationship for product deliverables.
- Liaison for customer, engineering, purchasing, production, and finance departments & initiate departmental interaction as needed.
- Manage time and resources effectively to meet USSC business objectives including complete projects on time.
- Collaborate with peers on all activities required by end user projects as required.
- Follow-up on product delivery to completion with targeted, agreed delivery points. Evaluate and resolve customer issues related to product, shipping, warranty, or payment.
- Provide feedback to USSC on customer and product issues.
- Perform other duties, as assigned for designing, implementing and maintaining competitive products and effective operations.
- Business, Technical or Engineering Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
- 0-3 years of experience in customer service in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications Word, Excel, and understanding of ERP systems.
- Excellent written communications skills, including the use of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar to produce error-free copy, particularly composing letters, reports and documents used for decision making.
- Outstanding Oral communication skills including tack and diplomacy which would be utilized during customer service, conflict management, development of relationships with internal and external contact.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and diverse projects including, analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision making and carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
- Requires light lifting of component parts and prototype assemblies.
- Must handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
