A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)
As an HVAC Customer Service Representative (CSR), we rely on you to help keep our office operations running smoothly and our customers well-informed and fully satisfied! Much of your time is spent ensuring we maintain strong customer relations by taking and making phone calls, promptly responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, offering service plans, and accurately processing payments and refunds. You also help resolve customer complaints, ensure we are adhering to all consumer laws, and make customer calls when following up on permits and inspections to make scheduling changes when appropriate.
In addition to working directly with our customers, you are happy to take on a variety of administrative tasks to keep our office running smoothly. This includes managing data entry tasks as well as utilizing emails, text messages, and other tools to effectively route manpower and other resources throughout the day. At times, you make recommendations, develop improvement plans in response to customer surveys, and promptly inform and educate customers on location initiatives that directly affect them. Finally, you are a go-getter, happy to lend a hand whenever needed, and you do so while following all company policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or comparable work experience
- 2+ years of customer service and administrative experience in an office
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Physical ability to perform all requirements of the position
- Ability to work overtime and weekend hours with little notice
- Strong typing and 10-key numeric pad skills
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver's license
