Responsibilities include:
- Process orders received via phone, fax, and email, and enter them into the system.
- Field customer questions and inquiries regarding order status, working closely with internal departments to resolve issues.
- Provide information to customers regarding products, pricing, and service, and refer more complex questions to appropriate staff.
- Perform daily cross-check of prior days order entry to identify and correct any errors.
- Prepare and process daily invoicing, bill of lading, and export papers as needed.
- Record and address customer complaints, issue credit memos, and reconcile customer credits and rebates.
- Prepare customer bids and renewals, and process freight claims for lost or damaged freight.
- Provide reporting as required, including daily sales report and AR tracking.
- Assist with general clerical duties such as sorting mail, filing, and updating customer files.
- Train as a backup on Amazon orders and EDI processes, and assist the Accounting Department as needed.
What you need to succeed:
- No degree required.
- Previous experience with order processing and customer service.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP/SAP systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask effectively.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
