Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit/Inspections Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the permitting and inspection process for our solar projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and codes.
Responsibilities:
- Permitting Process Management:
- Coordinate and manage the entire permitting process for solar projects from start to finish.
- Review project plans and documentation to ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
- Follow up with permitting agencies to track the status of applications and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of all permit applications and approvals.
- Inspections Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with local building departments and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate with project managers and installation teams to ensure readiness for inspections.
- Facilitate site visits and inspections, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
- Address any deficiencies or concerns identified during inspections, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in local building codes, zoning ordinances, and regulatory requirements related to solar installations.
- Ensure that all projects adhere to applicable regulations and standards throughout the permitting and inspection process.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry associations to resolve compliance issues and advocate for favorable regulatory environments.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all permitting and inspection activities.
- Generate reports summarizing permit status, inspection results, and compliance metrics.
- Provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders regarding the status of permits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in permit coordination, construction project management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
