Job title: Customer Service - Receptionist
Pay: Starting at $18 to $22 an hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
PARR's Customer Service Receptionist will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. They will ensure the proper flow of office procedures and support the company by carrying out common office duties. On average, the Customer Support person will answer anywhere from 300 - 500+ calls a day (can be more depending on the season).
This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and interacts daily with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
- 2 years of previous experience
- Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
- Must be able to type 30+ WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types
- Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold
- Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
- Understanding of the building industry preferred
- Knowledge of collections and accounts receivable principals, practices and protocols
- Must have reliable transportation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle queries via phone, email, and general correspondence
- Sort and distribute mail
- Organize and maintain files and databases in a confidential manner
- Drafts, formats and prints relevant documents
- Greet internal and external customers with a pleasant and welcoming attitude
- Scan and email documents
- Occasionally run checks or cash to bank
- Maintain and order office supplies
- Maintain account receivable customer files and records
- Perform other tasks and duties necessary to support the department
Primary working conditions are in an office environment with a computer for 40 hours per week.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
- Must be able to work in an office environment
