About the Job
Oversee the daily functions and strategic initiatives of the Customer Service department. Manages a staff of customer service representatives and ensures that customers are retained, satisfied, and that their needs are fulfilled. Responsible for designing and implementing improved processes or operational policies. Recommends changes to products or services to fulfill customer needs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Involved heavily in the strategic planning committee.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to prepare for critical business opportunities.
- Work with other departments to ensure accuracy and timing of customer orders.
- Bridge gaps between sales, warehouse, credit, and other departments as needed.
- Supervise, train and mentor the Customer Service staff.
- Handle customer relation issues to earn and retain business.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Seven to Ten years of Customer Service required.
- Proven ability to negotiate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel, Salesforce and accounting systems required.
