About the Job
Your Key Responsibilities
- Answer customer inquiries regarding price and availability received by telephone, fax, or e-mail
- Prepare orders for entry
- Confirm correct pricing and enter approved items into the system and relay to the customer
- Uses various company competitor interchange resources
- Prepares request for Price and Delivery for non-catalog or "Price on Request" part numbers, catalogs, price sheets, and informational or promotional items.
- Provide timely feedback to customers in regards to quotations, status of orders, etc.
- Compile necessary paperwork to process all customer credits/debits, RGM, and return requests submitted by Customer Service for approval.
- Relay final approvals or rejections to the Accounting Department and customers for credit or denial.
- Compile all necessary information for resolution of all Deduction Records (DR's) submitted by Accounting.
- Provide quality telephone coverage in an appealing tone, responding efficiently and effectively to:
- New and change orders, processing the same day.
- Coordinating with plants, customers, and shipping, regarding critical delivery expedites, including shutdowns and past dues.
- Process Request for Quotes and Price & Delivery immediately with 24-hour turnaround.
- Coordinate sales and quality returns including replacement orders.
- Initiate and coordinate debit/credit requests.
- Expedite shipping of product by issuing packing slips and working with ship centers.
- Resolve customer complaints.
- Coordinate Sales Operations issues in areas that surpass your responsibilities, such as Accounting, Credit, Engineering, Quality, etc.
Your Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED equivalent, prefer associates or bachelor's degree
- Customer oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions with minimal interaction from supervisor/management.
- One year customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Strong Work Ethic.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
