Responsibilities:
- Contacting customers via telephone to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve delinquent accounts.
- Utilizing effective negotiation and persuasion techniques to secure payments and arrangements.
- Updating customer account information accurately and promptly in the database system.
- Handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding collections practices and compliance regulations.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive customer information.
- Meeting and exceeding monthly collection targets and performance goals.
- Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and accurately.
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure efficient resolution of customer issues.
- Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge of collections practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Familiarity with collection software and database systems is a plus.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during challenging interactions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
