About the Job
Position Overview: This position is responsible for performing a variety of financial-assistance duties. Under general supervision, the CFS Rep will be responsible for the effective collection of account's ranging from 46-59 days since the account has cycled into the department the CFS Rep will make every effort to locate the customer in order to negotiate effective payment plans in order to prevent the account from cycling into the next stage of delinquency. This position requires excellent customer service skills.
Compensation $18-$23/hr.
Job Functions
- Maintains a work queue of 46-59 day delinquent accounts
- Ensures all FDCPA, and CFDCPA 1788-1788.33 are adhered to at all times.
- Achieves and maintains TEAM and Individual production STANDARDS and GOALS within the department.
- 40%-50% monthly group BONUS
- Negotiate and enforce p-note contracts, and establish hardship payment arrangements with Supervisor and or Management prior approval.
- Refers bankrupt loans to the legal department for further processing and analysis
- Responsible for ensuring a timely follow-up of all accounts assigned in his/her work queue.
- Solicits check by phone and Credit Card payments in order to mitigate potential losses.
Requirements
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment type 40wpm
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish (Preferred)
- A general understanding of legal issues and bankruptcy laws and regulations
- 1-3 years experience in collection of 46 to 59 day delinquent loans and or accounts.
- Ability to organize workload for effective collection efforts
Education
- High School Graduate
Other Skills/Abilities
- Hands on experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access preferred.
