About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience in cyber-security matters (e.g., threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, Identity and Access Management systems).
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Cloud or Security industry certifications.
- Experience implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g. threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or Identity and Access Management systems).
- Experience prospecting, building, and maintaining customer relationships, with an interest in building Greenfield territories in Enterprise accounts.
- Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).

As a Customer Engineer, you will work with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud Security offerings to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers, and partners understand the power of Google Cloud Security, developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, and overcome any potential technical roadblocks.As a Customer Engineer in the Security organization, you will help the team grow the cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with customers. You will be a trusted advisor to customers and an advocate for security solutions, providing support to c-level, security leaders, architects, and analysts to lead projects forward. You'll accompany customers in discovering the technology/solution and consult around ways to secure and ensure compliance. You'll optimize for results when in production, while identifying innovative ways to multiply impact and the impact of the team as a whole.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Share Security knowledge to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud.
