The Customer Development Manager - Albertsons Team West will:
- Own management responsibility for key elements of the Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods retail portfolio supporting our Albertsons business within the assigned sales unit
- Manage the direct relationships with Albertsons West divisions to include; Northern California, Southern California, Southwest and Denver, delivering our strategies and objectives. Develop customer relationships through effective management of resources
- Support and assist Team Leader with engagement of Albertsons Corporate category teams
- Collaborate with Land O'Lakes cross-functional team members to maximize opportunities
Responsibilities include attainment of assigned sales volume targets, financial management and profitability, promotional planning and execution, pricing and market share growth through the execution against DSMP's
General Business Management
- Achieve annual sales volume targets and utilize Power BI to monitor results
- Manage trade spending within budget guidelines by maintaining accurate Account Review plans
- Maintain Salesforce updates as they occur (incremental funding requests, account information)
- Work with Team Leader and other CDM's to develop annual promotional plans
- Effectively communicate and collaborate internally for assigned Albertsons divisions. Areas of focus include communicating customer needs by interreacting with Sales Acceleration Managers/Analysts (SAM/SAA), Customer Insights and other cross functional teams to share customer trends, issues and opportunities
- Strong use of data resources (Circana) and CIA team to create actionable insights that improve customer and Land O'Lakes sales, profitability and share
Customer Execution
- Utilize a combination of in-person and virtual meetings to manage and grow our business at Albertsons divisions (Nor Cal, So Cal, Southwest and Denver)
- Develop account penetration by working with the Albertsons buying teams (Assistant Sales Managers and Department Specialists)
- Provide strong communication and seek to influence divisions as it relates to promotional plans, pricing, supply chain and business practices
- Support Team Leader engagement with Albertsons Corporate BMS/Cheese National Category Director team. Own relationship with RSS National Category Director team
- Learn Albertsons internal systems (Demand Tec, Periscope and new Portal) while also utilizing Acosta Administrative Assistant for portal work
Requirements:
- 4-year college degree or higher/ or equivalentwork experience (required)
- 5 years or more of consumer package goods or related sales experience with strong knowledge of customer data sources (IRI), systems (customer Portals), and work processes (required)
- Strong selling and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to find mutually beneficial solutions
- E xperience working with Albertsons is preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Goal oriented, self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and proven ability to achieve results through self and others
- Strong analytical skills with solid financial acumen and the ability to understand and process data while developing actionable recommendations
- Ability to perform effectively in remote Team environment and manage multiple shifting priorities
- Ability to travel ~20% of the time
Salary is negotiable based on experience: $117,920 - $176,880
