As a Customer Account Specialist, you will support our Exports team. You will be responsible for understanding and executingthe end-to-end sales process (order through delivery) for export orders. You will be focused on maximizing customer satisfaction and growing Schreiber profitability while adhering to international regulations.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, working a minimum of 2 days/week in the office and the remaining days from home. Our office is located in Green Bay, WI.

What you’ll do:
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers from various countries and cultures, ensuring cultural sensitivity and understanding of international business practices.
- Effectively manage export orders to ensure efficient order processing, accurate documentation, and timely delivery.
- Work as a team with Sales to develop, maintain, and grow customer accounts.
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and internal departments, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Transportation, Regulatory, Export Compliance, and Credit.
- Maintain and utilize Schreiber systems (e.g. Oracle, Diver, BI Reports, Invio, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office programs.
- Communicate effectively with customers in different languages, either directly or through translation services, to ensure clear and accurate information exchange.
- Manage customer inquiries and support across different time zones, ensuring prompt responses and timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to facilitate international shipments, including customs documentation, tracking, and resolving any shipping-related issues.
- Adapt communication styles and approaches to effectively interact with customers from diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and empathy.
- Monitor and track customer issues to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on international regulations and compliance requirements related to customer service, shipping, and export processes to ensure adherence and provide accurate guidance to customers.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with the development and execution of initiatives.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing or related field.
- 2+ years of Business or Customer Service experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with customers and understand their needs.
- Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to use sound judgment when making service-oriented decisions that have financial implications.
- Can maintain a high degree of accuracy/interaction with multiple departments while coordinating shipments/customer requests.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, demonstrating patience and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and understand new information, processes, and systems.
- Bilingual (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 5% (within and outside of the US).
