Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, the Customer Account Representative (CAR) will be responsible for coordinating customer service and sales activities for various customer accounts. Serving as a primary point of contact with the customer, the CAR presents a professional, dynamic image of the company to the customer.

Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, the Customer Account Representative (CAR) will be responsible for coordinating customer service and sales activities for various customer accounts. Serving as a primary point of contact with the customer, the CAR presents a professional, dynamic image of the company to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops and cares for assigned customers, focusing on achieving strategic business goals and objectives, while maintaining a close, personal relationship with your contacts.
- Proactively works closely with Amerequip Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and the administrative functions to develop seamless transmittal of information to and from our customers.
- Prepare appropriate documentation to effectively communicate customer and project updates.
- Assist in the development Sales Forecasts and annual Sales Plans, and participate in Strategic Planning
- Act fiscally and professionally responsible, holding true to the values of Amerequip.
- Communicating back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group (e.g., clear details, critical timeframes, and expectations).
- Supporting other Business Development Team members as needed.
- Assist with placement, cancellation, or changes of orders in ERP system.
- Act as the point person with all customers.
- Represent the customer’s interests by balancing decisions between what the customer needs and what AMQ production wants.
- Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product inquiries.
- Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s expectations.
- Supports sales in presenting company capabilities to current and new customers.
- Works closely with functional leads to ensure appropriate assets are assigned and support goals.
- Travel as required (approx. 5%-10%).
- Service the customer by solving problems, gathering and transmitting information as needed and demanding the highest quality product.
- Provide pricing, quotes, product delivery, returns/credits, and product information to customer in timely manner and in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Act as a leader within the company to execute tasks from the customer along with tasks aligning with company/department goals and objectives.
- Work as a sponsor between Operations/Scheduling and Customer regarding product parameters as variables change.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a High School Degree with 2 years or more of Customer Service or Sales Experience or an Associate Degree with a focus in a Business-related field.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and processes important and relevant in this position.
