About the Job
The custodian I will be responsible for the custodial cleaning activities in bioMerieux SLC administrative areas.
The custodian I will be responsible for the custodial cleaning activities in bioMerieux SLC administrative areas.
Primary Duties:
Cleaning:
- Proper removal of trash and other waste streams ensuring all waste is properly disposed.
- Cleaning floors, walls, touch surfaces, glass, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, equipment, outdoor/indoor common areas, cafeterias etc
- Other duties as assigned.
Administrative duties:
- Report any facility or safety concerns to Supervisor.
Supplemental Data:
- Must have reliable transportation
Training and Education:
-High School Diploma or GED and custodial experience is preferred as well as clean room experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- High attention to detail and follow through.
- Receive and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrate effective team work with all staff.
- Ability to follow job assignments completely and efficiently.
- Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buffers.
- Basic Computer email and data entry skills.
- Knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets), cleaning products and their methods of use.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships throughout the company.
Working and Physical requirements:
- Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
- Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
- Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
- Must be able to pick up and carry up to 40 lbs.
- The position may require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
