Position Details:
- Title: Building Maintenance General Laborer (Custodian)
- Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, M-F.
- Location: Myerstown, PA (17067)
Position Overview:
Maintain a clean environment within all areas of the Keystone facility.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a clean environment within all areas of the Keystone facility as outlined below, and assist the Maintenance & Facilities Manager as directed.
- Empty all trash receptacles, sweep, and clean plant floors.
- Clean all restrooms and lunchrooms.
- Dust areas as needed.
- During inclement weather, shoveling snow/ice and spreading ice melt.
- Miscellaneous duties as directed by the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
Qualifications:
- Prior custodial experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be detail oriented with good organization skills.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning products and equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and be well organized.
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or completion of GED equivalent.
Safety:
- Complies with all safety regulations; always maintains a safe work environment.
- Adheres to always wearing the proper PPE/Safety equipment.
- Understands and complies with all written safety, health, and environmental procedures.
- Attends all required scheduled Health, Safety and Environmental training sessions.
- Participates in required Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and programs.
- Perform required administrative functions related to Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists, and log sheets.

- Physical Demands: Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 – 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a manufacturing environment. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, dust, dirt, and fumes. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
