Custodian - The LineUp at Wai Kai

Under the direct supervision of the Property Operations Manager the Custodian Technician is responsible for the overall upkeep of The Lineup grounds and facilities, ensuring tasks get completed on time. This position keeps the location clean and safe in all areas.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Sweeping and maintaining the grounds to keep clean and orderly
• Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles
• Clearing brush and trimming shrubs around various parts of the property
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment
• Maintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment
• Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms and showers
• Clean and service custodial equipment as needed
• Perform minor repairs on furniture, buildings, and equipment
• Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Previous custodial and grounds experience preferred
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
• Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies

• Ability to use hand tools, operate motorized equipment and vehicles such as cars, trucks and vans.

Working Conditions / Physical requirements

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling and digging
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
• Flexible hours, ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
