Under the general direction of the Park Operations Manager, the employee will keep City buildings clean and in orderly condition, perform...Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, an effective and courteous attitude in dealing with co-workers, other departments, and the public.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Ability to maintain a vehicle in clean, proper working order.
Knowledge of Brookhaven geography and the location of all Park & Recreation facilities.
Ability to read a City map.
Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
Skill in operating vacuum cleaners, floor washers, buffers, and related cleaning equipment.
Ability to read and understand labels, instructions, use, and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and the general public.
