Be part of a team that manages the custodial maintenance duties at a school building. Our school custodians are an essential framework of the school family and are greatly appreciated.
Employees perform custodial maintenance duties throughout the school. This may include dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking bathrooms and kitchen areas.
Responsibilities:
Performs general, routine custodial duties throughout the school. Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies. Empties trash receptacles, bags trash for proper disposal and disposes of trash in dumpster. Reports all needs/concerns to the appropriate staff. Ensures the proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as needed. Employees should be able to work both independently and as a team. Completes all assigned work efficiently and in a timely manner. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Follow all established cleaning and maintenance procedures. Communicate with lead custodian and all other employees. All other duties as assigned.Must have a valid driver s license. Ability to understand written and/or verbal instructions. Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand and move for the majority of the shift. Ability to squat, kneel, bend, twist, reach, and climb. Employees should be self-motivated and able to work the scheduled shift. Ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism in all circumstances.Must have a valid driver s license. Ability to understand written and/or verbal instructions.
