Mechanical Designer (AutoCAD) - Akron, OH - JOB 24-00326

Salary Range: $65K-$80K Permanent Position with Benefits

Akron Area Company is seeking a Mechanical Designer. The Mechanical Designers' key responsibilities are to design primarily light industrial machinery involving the following: Weldments, Sheet Metal, Fabricated components, Pneumatics, Motion components such as bearings, rails, shafts, belts, pulleys, chains, motors and incorporating electrical control devices. Generate and maintain technical documentation. (Pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and diagrams, Assembly drawings, Mechanical details, layouts and assemblies, Installation drawings and Procedures, parts lists, and manuals.) Establish timeline for project from receipt of PO to shipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be proficient with AutoCAD 2D. (Required)
• AutoCAD or Solidworks experience may be considered.
• Experience with design of industrial machinery.
• Experience/Knowledge with Project Management
• Experience with generating technical documentation.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must have strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• Must be well organized and able to manage multiple projects.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experienced
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
