Culinary Director - Upscale Restaurant Group - Career Group

Our client, an upscale restaurant group, is seeking a strong, team-oriented Culinary Director to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of culinary operations across all concepts. In partnership with the Owner, the Culinary Director will lead the culinary vision, including menu development, quality control, food cost management, and ensuring consistency across all locations, while aligning with the brand identity. This role requires extensive experience in the culinary field and strong leadership skills to maintain high standards and achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Design and update the restaurant’s menus in line with seasonal trends, customer preferences, and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other team members to introduce new dishes into each concept.
• Oversee the development of presentation styles, plating techniques, and food pairings.
• Set clear expectations for performance, productivity, and culinary excellence.
• Ensure seamless service throughout the restaurants, by guiding the Executive Chef in leadership and mentorship.
• Develop and manage food and labor budgets to ensure profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with food suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality ingredients.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience as a Culinary Director in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment of similar volumes.
• Exceptional creativity and ability to develop unique and innovative menu items.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control is required.
• Strong business management skills and ability to train and develop culinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
