Job Title: CT Technologist
Reports to: CT Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Pay: To determine our range, we consider as many of the following data points as are available to us: external market salary survey data, internal data in terms of comparable roles and our budget for the position. What we have posted is our good faith estimate of what we expect to pay: $24-$30 an hour.
Summary: The CT Technologist works as a member of the CT team, reporting to the CT Manager. This role provides CT based imaging to patients and supports the patient experience throughout their time at GLMI. Effective communication between departments and exemplary patient care must be maintained. This role performs a variety of tasks beyond CT imaging including; patient calls, documentation in charts, and assisting with both patient and other co-worker needs.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Perform all CT procedures
- CR and DR x-ray procedures
- Interventional Radiology procedures under CT guidance
- Starting IV lines on patients using proper technique
- Communicates with patients regarding medical history, symptoms and explanation of procedures with associated documentation
- Enters data in Radiology Information System, assuring accuracy and completeness
- Verifies accuracy of orders prior to examining the patient
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area, provides quality control processes when necessary and ensures the safety of patients in the department
- Attends to the medical needs of patients at all times. Maintains patient modesty at all times.
- Helps fellow technologists when not busy with CT specific duties
- Restocks supplies and maintains a list of things to be ordered

- Overtime may be required, as needed
Necessary Skills:
- Operates standard imaging equipment including but not limited to:
- CT Equipment
- Power injector
- PC Computer
- PACS/RIS Computer
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology
- NYS Radiologic Technology License with Injection
- ARRT Certification in CT required, or within 1 year of start date in accordance with GLMI policy
- CPR Certification
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- May be asked to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing, walking, sitting, keyboard use for long periods of time
- Ability to listen and communicate with patients face to face or over the phone
- Will be required to read, write, work in a fast-paced office setting
- Ability to make decisions and think quickly
- Must have mental and physical capabilities to perform all tasks listed above
