Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a thriving healthcare organization where you will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) equipment, which produces cross-sectional images of patients' bodies. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, all working towards the common goal of providing superior patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform high-quality CT scans in accordance with protocols within designated time frame.
2. Ensure patient safety and comfort during the scan procedures.
3. Maintain accurate patient records and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
4. Assist radiologists with complex diagnostic CT procedures.
5. Ensure the CT equipment is in good working condition, perform quality control procedures and report any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
6. Collaborate with the radiology team to enhance patient care and service delivery.
7. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
8. Assist with the management of the CT suite, including inventory management and the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness.
9. Adhere to radiation safety measures and guidelines under the health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or Diploma in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a CT Technologist highly preferred
3. Valid certification as a Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
4. Proficient knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and ability to demonstrate good judgement with decision-making skills.
5. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
6. Familiarity with radiation safety and protection procedures.
7. Experience in pediatric radiology would be an added advantage.
8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
9. Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
10. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
