Description:
Provides radiographic care for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Will involve exposure to blook borne pathogens and moving/rotating machinery and requires sitting, standing, walking frequently. Equipment/Tools used: CT equipment, injectors, pulse oximeter, PACS, HIS/RIS computer, angio-catheter, butterfly needles, biopsy, and drainage supplies. Software: Epic, McKesson, CT software, optical disk, RIS..
Summary:
CT Tech needed to work Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 11a-11p (non-negotiable). Please DO NOT SUBMIT candidates who are interested in a different working schedule.
Looking for someone with at least 2 years CT experience. Lancaster General has Canon CT units at facility. Experience with those scanners is preferred, but not required.
Duties:
1. Operate head or body x-ray scanners that create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan
2. Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations
3. Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures
4. Take patient medical history before an exam
5. Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated
6. Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
7. Assume responsibility for the safety, and mental and physical comfort of patients
8. Supervised by a board-certified radiologist but afforded a great amount of independence and responsibility
Qualifications:
1. Able to operate sophisticated computer equipment
2. Strong interest in scientific and technical skill and knowledge
3. Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured
4. Able to communicate effectively
5. Able to perform well independently
6. Able to follow detailed instructions
7. Exact and precise
8. Highly self-motivated
9. High School graduate or equivalent
10. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) thru AHA
11. Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
12. C.T. Tech certified preferred
