Middle School Assistant Cross Country Coach

Stipend: $2,629 - $4,090

*stipend(s) will be prorated on coach’s availability to fulfill all coaching commitments

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the preparation of student athletes for meaningful athletic competition through instruction in the fundamental skills, strategies and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual/team success and at the same time, receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of good citizenship, pride of accomplishment, good sportsmanship, self-discipline and self-confidence.  Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Coaching experience at Middle/High School level preferred.  Possess a current First Aid Card/CPR Card or complete a district approved athletic training/sports medicine course equivalent to the Red Cross first aid training or be enrolled in that type of class.  A Washington State Patrol Criminal History Information Form, required by RCW 43.43.830, be on file in the Athletic Office.  High school graduate and at least 21 years of age.  SPI Moral Character Supplement Form 4020b completed and on file.  Annually attend a blood-borne pathogens training.  Certificated personnel preferred. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

In addition, a background check, based on fingerprints, will be requested from the Washington State Patrol & FBI.  Employment is conditional based upon completion of the record check.
